Drogheda United FC Limited (Drogheda United, DU) is a professional association football club competing in the League of Ireland Premier Division (Tier I of play). The club was originally founded in 1919 as a non-league team. In 1975, Drogheda United merged with Drogheda FC, forming Drogheda United FC, and has been an active participant in the League of Ireland since then.
